Artista multifacética, el teatro fue su principal arma para hablar sobre lesbianismo, homosexualidad y la aparición del VIH. Sin embargo, a pesar de sus grandes logros, su nombre ha quedado en el olvido.
Brave, provocative, and untimely to death, Nancy Cárdenas broke through the closet doors of an invisible community in the 70’s Mexico, leading the way in the fight for LGBT rights. Actress, poet, and playwright, the theater was her primary weapon to talk about lesbianism, homosexuality, and the appearance of HIV. However, despite her remarkable achievements, her name has been forgotten.
